People often forget that work and life are intertwined. If you want to be successful, it’s important to balance your work and life so both can flourish. Unfortunately, many entrepreneurs don’t do this well. Worse yet, they know they have to.
People who neglect their work-life integration find themselves struggling in two ways: They won’t be able to produce high-quality results and they won’t have enough hours in the day to keep up with their responsibilities.
Meet Katerina Azarova, serial entrepreneur, Mom, thought leader, influencer, and the founder of Petite Maison Kids (which provides unique and high-quality traditional children’s clothing, with a modern elegant flare). She is an excellent example of an entrepreneur who has created a thriving business while maintaining business, family, wellness, and making an impact in the community.
While running one of the most successful luxury children’s clothing brands, Katerina also finds time to travel around the world, spend time with family & living her best life possible. Her remarkable entrepreneurial skills and understanding of responsibility towards kids & family have made her one of the most successful women in business- and an inspiration to many.
The work-life balance is one of the most important aspects of a successful career. It allows you to have an effective and balanced life outside of work. A good work-life balance includes having enough time for yourself, as well as fulfilling your social and personal obligations.
According to Katerina “If you want to make the most of your work-life balance, you need to set some boundaries. By balancing your hours, you can free up more time to focus on your health and your family. For me, it’s important to be there for my children’s daily activities. To do homework with them. I often have to just silence my phone and set aside time to be present and in the moment. We also always make time to have family trips to make special memories. Balancing your life will also help you to relax and get adequate rest, which will help improve your mental health, your focus, and productivity”.
When setting work and life goals, it’s important to keep in mind the balance that is necessary for both. Too much focus on one aspect of life can lead to burnout, while too little focus can lead to a lack of energy or motivation. To find the right balance, start by setting reasonable goals and objectives that are achievable but still challenging. Once you have a good idea of what you want, it’s time to build support systems to help you achieve them. These include friends, family, and a career/life partner who will be there when you need them and willing to help with anything else your work-life balances out.
Katerina mentioned “Working long hours may not be ideal for everyone, but incorporating some form of leisure activity into your day can go a long way in balancing out your energies. If you find yourself bored during your weekday, for example, take on a new hobby or activity – like reading or working out more – and see how it affects your mood. Alternatively, consider taking on some creative & motivational projects – like painting, sculpting, traveling, music, or volunteering – that will give you something new to do outside of work and me time”.
In today’s economy, working long hours is becoming an increasingly accepted norm. But if you want to be successful in your career and happy in life, you need to find a way to balance your work and personal life.
