Dr. Velma Trayham, CEO of the Black Chamber of Arizona and founder of Thinkzilla Consulting Group, captivated a sold-out audience at the Rhode Island Black Business Association’s (RIBBA) 2024 Annual Awards Gala. In her keynote address, Dr. Trayham shared her personal journey from poverty in Houston, Texas, to becoming a globally recognized business consultant advising governments and Fortune 500 companies.
Dr. Trayham emphasized the importance of equitable investments, small business empowerment, and workforce development to close the racial wealth gap. “We must continue building pathways for underserved communities,” she told the audience.
