Rico Handjaja on Self-Worth Master — The Hidden Psychology and Daily Mindset Tools

The way we show up in a situation shapes the result that follows. When we feel good about ourselves – even when the situation isn’t ideal – the positive energy helps to overcome the obstacle and line up the vibration towards bringing the desired outcome. That is the reason why self worth is so important!

Self-worth is the foundation of achieving everything and becoming the best version of ourselves. Yet, many people around the world are trying to please others rather than themselves, which has caused many issues in their personal behaviour and limited individuals to never think outside of the box, to explore and chase the new height.

Meet Rico Handjaja, leading life coach and mental health thinker who is actively creating meaningful conversation with scientist backed data. His mission is to help people overcome their fear, build confidence and support people to bring their peak performance. With practical life strategies, rewiring the thought process towards positivity and removing the fear of failure, Rico has helped countless individuals to connect with themselves and live a confident life.

Why Does Self- Worth Go Deeper Than “ Feeling Good”?

Rico Handjaja explains self-worth is our physiological architecture that influences our brain to think, act and relate to things around us. Today social media likes are becoming validation or parenting where children are compared with educational achievement or possessions of various luxury items, are creating a standard that is built on sand not concrete.

Rico labels this as validation neurosis, a state in which people believe in external affirmation and unconsciously accept it as the reality without reflecting on their inner worth or focusing on their passion.

Numerous research has shown that people who depend heavily on external validation for their worth or who are constantly trying to change themselves to become part of a certain group or society – frequently experience anxiety, emotional instability, and even depression.

The Layers of Self- Worth

The way we value ourselves depends on numerous factors. Self- Worth isn’t just a single element – it’s an interconnection and network of different aspects of our lives. Unfortunately, this is something many articles, books, or educational institutes lack to bring together. Self-worth interplays as a complete package of confidence, family support, moral virtue, consciousness, action and more.

This means: Two people will feel different about their same achievement depending upon their layers of subsconsciousness tied to them. Some might rely on their appearance; others wait for someone’s approval.

Rico emphasizes that real self-worth is when you stay true to yourself and fully understand what you deserve — without external validation.

How Meditation And Mindset Tools Rewire Self- Worth?

One of the ways to activate our neuroplasticity and bring a growth mindset is meditation. It’s by far one of the easiest and something everyone can practise without complex studies. Meditation helps people in various ways but people are just using it for calming the mind.  Rico says with proper guidance of meditation, people can bring drastic changes in their life, get to know their internal awareness and bring emotional balance.

With meditation, people can get over their past traumas, anxiety and manifest the future self with the highest potential who is not affected by the external applause or any anchor attached.

Simple practice Rico recommends everyone who is trying to find their self-worth.

  1. 5 min: Sit in a comfortable position and focus on your breathing. Be part of the meditation, experience the environment around you and observe the thoughts that are coming to your mind without making any judgments. With the time you will find yourselves loving the experience and automatically take 5 min practise to 10 or 20 min. Continuously doing this practice will allow our subconscious mind to apprehend that we are separate from our thoughts.
  2. Affirmations: The universe always listens to us through vibration and we create them by regularly practising affirmations. Once we start to use affirmation that is filled with value and positive action, we start sending signals towards our new alignment. Numerous researches have shown that meditation with positive affirmation- that is not chasing external validation and filled with compassion – boosts self-worth of the practitioner more effectively.

Mindset Tools

Rico is known for providing practical tools that help clients to achieve the desired result. He doesn’t limit himself with theories and general tips, his work for each client is designed exclusively and according to the need.

To experience the different sense of self-worth, Rico advises readers to post something meaningful on social media without the expectation of going viral or getting feedback. Just post and forget, and notice how it feels inside you. The longer you practice to be in a space where you share your thoughts without being manipulative towards receiving validation, you will start to experience true self-worth.

Another practical tool Rico shares is to notice and write down at least one thing that you appreciated and that you are grateful for before going to bed. These simple tools will help individuals understand the daily changes they need to make towards creating a life that is filled with kindness, joy and success.
